Mentions regarding the organization and the activity

of the Press Center during

the Bucharest Summit „The Spring of New Allies”,

The Parliament Palace, 25-26 March 2002

 

1.       Requests for accreditation to summit will be addressed to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mass Media Relations Department, using the following coordinates:

2.       Access of the accredited press to summit shall be made at gate A3 - S2 (Izvor)

3.       The acreditation center will have the following program:

-          Sunday, March 24:            8.00 - 14.00

-          Monday, March 25:          8.00 - 18.00

-          Tuesday, March 26:          8.00 - 14.00

The press center will have the following program:

-          Monday, March 25:  8.00 - 20.00

-          Tuesday, March 26: 8.00 - 16.00

4.       The journalists accredited to the summit have the possiblity to watch the working sessions inside the Press Center, using the closed-circuit TV

Access of the photo press:

-          access inside during A.I. Cuza Hall during the opening and closing sessions

-          photo opportunities at the beginning of the other working sessions  (5 – 7 minutes)

-          during the speeeches of the prime ministers of the candidate countries, the representatives of the photo press from those countries shall be allowed to assist

-          photo opportunities at the beginning of the bilateral meetings

 

Regarding the access (movement) of the journalists within the Parliament Palace : it will take place only accompanied by the press officers  (members of the Press Center )

 

5.       Access to technical facilities within the Press Center (phone, fax, for both national and long distance calls) shall be made only by paying (except access to internet). The journalist shall be given his own code, based on the identity card.  After making the calls, the journalist shall receive a list of the calls made, and the bill sahll be released accoding to the list. After making the payment, the journalist will take back the identity card.
